The story behind Ojamafy.
Ojamafy exists to break the cycle of broken recruiting and job seeking, permanently. We're building our own trained AI tools that prioritize meaningful matches over mass applications, so every job seeker gets a genuine chance and every employer finds the right candidate.
The recruitment industry has entered an "AI doom loop": auto-apply tools push 1,500 applications per week, employers respond with aggressive ATS filters, and the result is that 53% of job seekers were ghosted in the past year and only 8% believe AI hiring tools make hiring fairer. We don't add to that noise. We cut through it.
Francisco Jose Diaz, Co-Founder & CEO. Francisco came to the United States as an international student, earned his BBA, and later a master's in finance. He spent years at Indeed, the world's largest job board, as a Trust & Safety strategist. From Indeed's Ireland headquarters, he was the sole strategist for quality and risk across international markets. He saw firsthand how the recruitment system was broken from the inside: how low-quality applications overwhelm employers, how abuse on both sides degrades the experience, and how tools meant to help job seekers actually generate more noise.
Juan Diaz, Co-Founder & President. Juan also came to the United States as an international student with a master's in finance. He has a lifelong passion for aviation and driving, and hands-on experience running logistics companies, bringing operational expertise and the discipline it takes to keep things moving. Juan also worked at Indeed, giving him an insider's view of the same broken system. During the tech layoffs, he became one of the laid-off professionals navigating the very job market he had helped build. He lived every frustration that millions of candidates face daily: the silence, the automated rejections, the feeling of shouting into nothing.
It started as a personal tool. Juan needed work quickly to help cover the family's medical bills, so the brothers came together with a simple goal: automate his job search. Francisco built the first version. Juan tested it. It worked.
Then they realized the problem was universal. Every job seeker deserves quality representation. Every employer deserves qualified candidates, not mountains of noise. That conviction became Ojamafy.
